“SORTING CONTEMPORARY ITEMS: METU Student works” is an online exhibition presenting twenty-nine posters co-produced by the students of architecture in the course ARCH430 Seminar on Contemporary Architecture, which was co-instructed by Lale Özgenel, Pelin Yoncacı Arslan, and Nesrin Erdoğan. Each poster carries with it a different vision of the past, of the precedents, of the icons of architecture. Tracking all of these visions simultaneously on a 2D surface is almost impossible, yet it is worth to PLAY!

Programımız Yüksek Lisans mezunu Dilara Burcu Giritlioğlu'nu, öğretim üyemiz Dr. Pelin Yoncacı Arslan danışmanlığında tamamladığı "An Urban Node in The Ritual Landscape of Byzantine Constantinople: The Church of St John The Baptist of the Stoudios Monastery" başlıklı tezi ile değer görüldüğü Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Tez Ödülü'nden dolayı kutlarız. 

We congratulate our master graduate Dilara Burcu Giritlioğlu for being the recipient of Graduate School of Social Sciences' Thesis Award with her thesis titled "An Urban Node in The Ritual Landscape of Byzantine Constantinople: The Church of St John The Baptist of the Stoudios Monastery", supervised by our faculty member Dr. Pelin Yoncacı Arslan.

Mimarlık Tarihi Programımız yüksek lisans öğrencilerinden Cem Dedekargınoğlu, “Reading the Story of the American Billet (General Directorate of Petrol Ofisi) Building through the American Impact on the Development of Ankara” başlıklı araştırma önerisiyle 2019 yılı Koç Üniversitesi Vehbi Koç Ankara Araştırmaları Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi (VEKAM) Araştırma Ödülü’ne layık görülmüştür.

Cem Dedekargınoğlu, a graduate student from Architectural History Program, is granted 2019 Koç University Ankara Studies Research Center (VEKAM) Research Award, with the research proposal titled “Reading the Story of the American Billet (General Directorate of Petrol Ofisi) Building through the American Impact on the Development of Ankara”.
